Ode to Story

Day: Sunday
Time: 7 - 8 pm
Stage: The Snug

Grandpapa Adashku at 152 years old hales from Polish shores, having arrived in Mullumbimby the day a zebra crossed the road. As a listener to wind, praying mantis and the trees he carries a bag full of stories, stunts and songs from his travels deep into Bundjalung Country. After much practice being a lace monitor, a paddy melon, a green tree frog and a creek he has emerged from his other-than-human adventures to weave threads of connection with Country and each other with story, play and song. Join his mischievous chalky-beard for an hour of storytelling goodness.

Paulie Glow a.k.a Paul Crebar is a father to four, performer, local storyteller, musician, play-facilitator, and localisation-advocate inspired by the diversity and natural-magic of the Bundjalung ecologies. Together with his wife Erica, over the past decade their organisation Luminous Culture has supported hundreds of local families in contributing towards cultural regeneration through connection-led parenting, life-centric learning and eco-soul-centric education.
